installing photovoltaic solar power

Our mission is to promote sustainable living through education, conservation, and the development of community-based renewable energy.

S.H.A.R.E. is a local organization devoted to conserving non-renewable energy and replacing it with energy from renewable resources such as wind, solar, hydro, ground source, etc.

In September 2004, OSEA (Ontario Sustainable Energy Association) lead a workshop on sustainable energy at the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre. Representatives of OSEA came and presented a full day workshop on energy conservation, renewable energy technologies and community cooperatives. This generated substantial community interest so Wye Marsh agreed to host a series of meetings with a varied group from all professions and walks of life. It was decided that we should form an organized group, S.H.A.R.E., and set specific objectives.

S.H.A.R.E. is in the process of becoming a registered non-profit organization and has formed an executive and membership structure. Until the non-profit status is official, Wye Marsh will be handling all administration of S.H.A.R.E. and most meetings are located at the facility.

We are a member of OSEA (Ontario Sustainable Energy Association).
